Award-winning New Zealand songwriter and singer Aroly Tariq is thrilled to announce the release of her self-produced EP, “Bluetooth Breakdown,” (Listen To The Album) featuring the enchanting new single “Light Shines Down.” With her signature mellow art-pop sound, Aroly seamlessly blends minimalist alt-RnB and trip-hop melodies over innovative sample-based hip-hop production.
As one half of the acclaimed duo Audego, Aroly has collaborated with notable acts including Funkstörung, Coy Haste (Caribou), Pasobionic, and Joelistics. Her unique sound has captured the attention of music lovers and industry insiders alike, earning her recognition from platforms such as Pigeons and Planes, The Fader, BBC Radio 1, and Triple J.
“I think love is eternal,” Aroly shares. “It shifts and changes form, but true, unconditional love is a song on eternal repeat, just on varying frequencies. Everything in the world seems so insane to me right now, and I wanted to make a cute colorful animation to go with a sweet little song to calm my nervous system a bit.”
Aroly’s artistic vision extends beyond music; she is also a talented visual artist, creating and directing her own film clips and visual content. This multifaceted approach enhances her ability to convey deep emotional truths, making her work resonate with a diverse audience.
“Light Shines Down” captures the essence of “Bluetooth Breakdown,” inviting listeners into Aroly’s vibrant world. The EP is a reflection of her artistic journey and a celebration of love’s many forms.
“Bluetooth Breakdown” is now available on all major streaming platforms. Aroly Tariq invites you to experience her latest work and find solace in the music.
