Ja’Delwen Va’Dario Robinson is an American gospel singer, song writer, televangelist, actor and pianist who began singing at the age of two. Often called by his stage name Ja’Delwen Robinson or J1 Robinson, he made his television debut in 2017 on Good day New York in the 35th annual McDonald’s gospel fest competition. He went on to win the competition two months later in the category of best male vocalist. His charismatic style of singing and preaching compelled Emmy award winning A Curtis. Farrow cast him in the Broadway Musical Your Arms Too Short to Box with God; in February of 2018.
During earlier years before he was fully presented to the public, he was invited to be a keynote speaker for a youth conference with NAACP Image award winner Tyler Williams. Then in September of 2017 he was auditioned by gospel singer and movie star Ella Mitchell, and performed with her at two venues in the same month.
Since then, J1 has found much success. In the year of 2018, one of his self written songs entitled “Wonderful Counselor” was picked up by Black Smoke worldwide music by the president, Mr. Kerry Douglas. To date, his two most requested songs are “Yet Will” and “Sunshine.”
