From Lagos to Vancouver: KingFahd Chronicles Past Love in His Most Emotional Project Yet

Vancouver-based Afrobeats artist KingFahd has officially released his latest project, A Love Story frm22, a deeply personal collection of songs blending Afrobeats and R&B. The project details his emotions surrounding a past relationship from 2022, presenting listeners with a raw and introspective musical journey.

Each track on A Love Story frm22 captures different aspects of love—its joys, its struggles, and its heartbreaks. With infectious melodies, smooth rhythms, and evocative storytelling, KingFahd delivers a unique fusion of Afrobeats grooves and R&B’s soulful essence, making this project a standout release in his growing catalogue.

Since moving from Lagos, Nigeria, to Vancouver in August 2022, KingFahd has been gaining recognition in Canada’s expanding Afrobeats scene. In early 2024, he released his debut EP, One Step at a Time, which was met with critical acclaim and helped solidify his reputation as a rising artist. Later in the year, he released several covers, with his versions of “Mo de ma” by Minz and “QLC – Quarter Life Crisis” by Toye gaining notable attention from industry influencers and media outlets in Vancouver and Nigeria.
